MIGUEL WALKS MEXICO CITY
01 / EXPERIENCE

A walk where Mexico City
starts to make sense.
Mexico City rarely tells one story at a time.
Prehispanic foundations, colonial ambitions and modern ideas still share the same streets. The Walk is about noticing those connections, how history, art, architecture, politics and identity overlap and keep shaping the city.
We use the places around us as starting points for conversation. Some stories are impossible to miss, others are hidden in details you could easily walk past. As we walk, they reveal a much richer Mexico City.
What we explore

01 / CHAPTER
Foundations
The Mexica city is still here in fragments, symbols and ideas that continue to shape Mexico City.

02 / CHAPTER
Power
Spanish rule changed the city through churches, plazas and institutions, making power visible in the streets.

03 / CHAPTER
Nation
Mexico spent decades figuring out what kind of country it wanted to be, and the capital shows that tension.

04 / CHAPTER
Modernity
New architecture, public art and ambitious projects turned the city into a testing ground for modern Mexico.

05 / CHAPTER
Identity
Different stories, tastes and ways of life meet here all the time. That mix is part of the city’s character.
How the walk feels
The Walk has structure but it is never scripted. We follow the city, the questions that come up and the things you notice along the way.
There is time to stop, ask, disagree and connect ideas. It should feel more like a good conversation than a lecture.

You can come knowing a little
or a lot.
The Walk is designed for curious people, whether it’s a first time in Mexico City or a return visit with new questions. Some people ask, others mostly listen. Both work perfectly well. Context and connections unfold along the way.

Both. The Walk can run with just one guest. Shared walks stay small, with a maximum of six people, and private walks are available for groups of up to 15. If you’re traveling solo, you can book directly without waiting for a group to form.
Usually around 1-2 km over about three hours, at a relaxed to moderate pace. The Historic Center can be busy, noisy and crowded, and there’s quite a bit of standing, but we make regular stops, look for shade when we can and sometimes sit down.
We meet in Mexico City’s Historic Center, usually within a few blocks of the Zócalo. I’ll send you the exact meeting point on WhatsApp once your booking is confirmed. The Walk usually finishes somewhere else.
The Walk follows a carefully designed route through the Historic Center, but some stops may change depending on closures, opening hours or what makes sense that day, rather than checking off a fixed list of landmarks.
A 20% deposit confirms your booking. I’ll send you a payment link for the deposit, and the remaining balance is due at the start of The Walk. You can pay the balance in cash, by card, tap to Pay, supported mobile wallets, or PayPal.
